# Update Account

client.Accounts.Update(ctx, params) (\*[Account](<https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/go/resources/accounts#(resource)%20accounts%20%3E%20(model)%20account%20%3E%20(schema)>), error)

PUT/accounts/{account\_id}

Update an existing account.

##### Security

API Email + API Key

The previous authorization scheme for interacting with the Cloudflare API, used in conjunction with a Global API key.

**Example:**`X-Auth-Email: user@example.com`
