# Update Fallback Origin for Custom Hostnames

custom\_hostnames.fallback\_origin.update(FallbackOriginUpdateParams\*\*kwargs) -> [FallbackOriginUpdateResponse](<https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/python/resources/custom_hostnames#(resource)%20custom_hostnames.fallback_origin%20%3E%20(model)%20fallback_origin_update_response%20%3E%20(schema)>)

PUT/zones/{zone\_id}/custom\_hostnames/fallback\_origin

Updates the fallback origin configuration for custom hostnames on a zone. Sets the default origin server for custom hostname traffic.
