# Create a custom detection location for a zone.

leaked\_credential\_checks.detections.create(DetectionCreateParams\*\*kwargs) -> [DetectionCreateResponse](<https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/python/resources/leaked_credential_checks#(resource)%20leaked_credential_checks.detections%20%3E%20(model)%20detection_create_response%20%3E%20(schema)>)

POST/zones/{zone\_id}/leaked-credential-checks/detections

Create a detection location for credentials that the default scan locations do not cover, using Rules language expressions such as `lookup_json_string(http.request.body.raw, "user")`. Only the username expression is required, and Leaked Credential Checks must be enabled on the zone.

API Token

The preferred authorization scheme for interacting with the Cloudflare API. Create a token.

**Example:**
Authorization: Bearer Sn3lZJTBX6kkg7OdcBUAxOO963GEIyGQqnFTOFYY

API Email + API Key

The previous authorization scheme for interacting with the Cloudflare API, used in conjunction with a Global API key.

**Example:**
X-Auth-Email: user@example.com

The previous authorization scheme for interacting with the Cloudflare API. When possible, use API tokens instead of Global API keys.
