# Delete organization

client.organizations.delete(stringorganizationID, RequestOptionsoptions?): [OrganizationDeleteResponse](<https://developers.cloudflare.com/api/typescript/resources/organizations#(resource)%20organizations%20%3E%20(model)%20organization_delete_response%20%3E%20(schema)>) {id }

DELETE/organizations/{organization\_id}

Delete an organization. The organization MUST be empty before deleting. It must not contain any sub-organizations, accounts, members or users. Sub-organization deletion availability depends on the organization’s capabilities. (Currently in Public Beta - see https://developers.cloudflare.com/fundamentals/organizations/)

**Access Control:** Restricted to enterprise organizations.

##### Security

API Email + API Key

The previous authorization scheme for interacting with the Cloudflare API, used in conjunction with a Global API key.

**Example:**`X-Auth-Email: user@example.com`
